News from "The Shreve"

There is a local newspaper blog about local movie productions run by Alexandyr Kent of The Shreveport Times. It is a fairly impressive blog, and in my opinion what the future of newspapers should look like--hyper local, social media based, and niche specific.

Anyway, I did a very short interview with Alexandyr and he ran a piece about our movie on his blog, you can check it out here.

And as a side note, I would just like to say how impressed I was with his piece, and not because he wrote nice things about me. He is a reporter who actually did his homework--I didn't tell him about the production blog, or about the book being on the best seller list or anything like that. He did his own research and found it himself, and then got the facts right. Granted, it's not like he found the Holy Grail, but these days a reporter, ESPECIALLY an entertainment reporter, who does actual research and gets his facts correct AND adds value beyond a press release is impressive. It's ridiculous that a local reporter for a newspaper in the 99th largest city in America is, as of yet, the most impressive reporter I have come across. That should be the minimum. Welcome to the current state of media.
